South Street is the most vibrant part of the site and is thus meant to encourage seating, recreation and relaxation. This is through having variations in furniture and increase in their frequency as well as the variation in vegetation. Lighting choice as well as the access to a bike park would make the area feel user friendly safe for the pedestrians at all times, especially at night.  The retractable bollards would serve to restrict vehicle access, making this a completely pedestrianised area.
